Rave to the Town of Friday Harbor for the new sidewalks on Blair Ave. However, a major RANT as well. Its almost like buying a brand new car and then finding it has dings and scratches... What is it with this town and its penchant for putting obstacles in our sidewalks? (Argyle Avenue anyone?? - if you dont know what I mean by that, try walking the sidewalk on Argyle Ave. from the Fairgrounds and into town). And now our beautiful new sidewalks on Blair Ave have Parking signs fully 2 feet into them, I measured. (They only missed the exact center of the 6 foot width by 12). Concrete is not yet poured on many of these signs - Its probably not too late to correct this mistake.
