Ray Rices suspension being overturned shows that the overall culture of violence (and injury) of American football, the tacit approval of violent behavior off the field, the engorged salaries of players, and the known abuse of every sort of drug by many players, completely turn me off to the sport, and the totality of the behaviors are an embarrassment to the nation. So much better use could be made of all the energy, money, time and space that this obsession and idolatry consumes.
