Re: Bredbo Spit Man 🇧🇪🇼🇦🇷🇪: possible rant ahead Today on our drive back from Perisher to Newcastle, we thought given the cold wet day we had (we still had a ball) wed finally treat ourselves to a spitroast roll from Bredbo (we dont normally buy any food on our trips down). I hate to say it, and were very rarely negative, but LET DOWN CITY!!!! We were gearing ourselves up for melt in your mouth pulled roast pork heaven, home made gravy delights and just all round taste bud watering deliciousness. My BF described it dry ass desert mouth full of blandness. Normally youd be happy to receive a spit roast meat roll as long as your arm but in this case, it just meant more clag mouth to endure through. Bread overload, gravy rations, awkwardly size chunks of meat. Where was the salt and pepper? And what did they do with that massive piece of crackle we saw them pull out? We thought we were the lucky kids who were going to receive a sneaky crackling surprise, no! I also asked if I could have meat on one of the smaller bread rolls they serve bacon and eggs on as I didnt want so much bread, answer was no. Ok then, I didnt realise ordering variations would be so hard to handle for a menu which offers only 3 things. Overall we were sad. At least we dont need to worry about adding this $12.90 each adventure to our weekend ritual. Has anyone had a good experience here to help us maybe go back one day? If you know the spit man, please offer our constructive feedback.
