We need to consider the following: An acknowledgment by Muslims that those creeps did it, and acknowledgment by Hindus and Sikhs, that Muslims of India today are not related to them, nor have they inherited anything from them, and thus not responsible for their acts. What those guys did was wrong and none of us should be responsible for their acts. The communal ambiance created by the elections has engulfed the whole nation. In Saharanpur it started after Sikhs tried to build a building on a disputed place. Sikhs and Muslims attacked each other;s shops. It all happened very close to our house in Saharanpur. Dozens of shops have been burnt belonging top both communities, dozens of vehicles destroyed. # confirmed dead but my sources tell the figure is 7. It was all boiling since Muzaffarnagar riots last year, which is the adjacent town. In a country where communal riots bring political dividends, this will continue to happen. Next few months are crucial for the world as well as for India. May Allah restore peace! We planned to go to Saharanpur tomorrow to be able to celebrate Eid with our parents, but we have to cancel it.
