Re: Invitation to a Policy Dialogue; Conservation Status and Tourism Potential of Uganda’s Protected Areas, on 16th September 2014 at Makerere University School of Forestry, Environment and Geographical Sciences Conference Room, starting from 1.30 Pm to 5.00 PM. Towards her Vision, Wildlife and Humans Living in Harmony and, within her mandate of promoting sustainable natural resource use and management through policy, advocacy, research, and community initiatives, UWS in collaboration with Makerere University School of Forestry, Environment and Geographical Sciences (SFEGS), National Forestry Authority (NFA), Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) and, Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities (MTWA) is convening a policy dialogue on 16th September 2014 from, 1:30 Pm to 5.00 Pm at Makerere University School of Forestry, Environment and Geographical Sciences Conference Room. The dialogue theme is Conservation Status and Tourism Potential of Uganda’s Protected Areas. We will have three technical presenters tackling different protected areas as follows; Mr. Gilbert Kadilo (NFA) Conservation status and tourism potential of Uganda’s protected areas, West Bugwe (Busitema) and Budongo Forest Reserves on focus. Executive Director (UWA) Conservation status and tourism potential of Uganda’s protected areas, Mt Elgon Conservation Area and Bugungu Wildlife Reserve on focus. Ms. Audrey K. Namara (UWS Intern, SFEG) Conservation status and tourism potential of Uganda’s protected areas, Kinawataka Wetland on focus.
