Re: Perseverance Remember when I was talking about the Virgin Moon Project? The connection to Virgin started back in 2006 when I flew to London on my dime to pitch my idea for the $25 million Virgin Earth Challenge. Well, that idea got rejected. Jump forward to 2013. After being homeless for 6 months and even incarcerated for shop lifting, I decided to revisit Virgin because I so desperately wanted to work with Mr. Branson. I created the Virgin Moon Project, a commodities trading website, which was easy for me and Virgin (among other people) to understand, but they decided it was too hard of a sell to the middle class after a year and a half of pitching. Back to the drawing board. I then had the idea of taking over a small town to film live on the internet a commodities day trading story. My Superiors first said Toledo, Ohio, then L.A. jumped in, in a big way. They decided Artesia, California (the gateway to L.A. County) because its warm and stars live nearby. The response was overwhelming: Disney, Virgin, Marriott, Hines jumped in and so did a star studded Oscar Winning cast including Meryl Streep and Morgan Freeman (voice over). Then Directors James Cameron jumped in along with Sofia Coppola, Larry David and even David Sedaris. What would have happened if I gave up in 2006? Or if I gave up and died on the streets in San Diego? NEVER GIVE UP. Perseverance is the motto of my high school, Phoenix Country Day School. Unfortunetly you cant teach that. Even some of the most talented movie actors and singers give up because they have no persistence. It takes more than talent. And guess what?
