Re-Posting this news story to encourage people to attend Tuesday evenings congressional forum at Ward Warehouse. Some people may think the speed-dating format is a gimmick, that trivializes the congressional race. When one of our members first proposed it, that was my reflexive response. But it really WORKS when you have multiple candidates. If you come to Tuesdays event, you will be able to get close to 6 of the 7 Democratic congressional candidates and begin to get to know each of them, their personalities, their ideas, values and intelligence, as they respond to YOUR questions. So long as everyone remains polite--which has been the pattern--it allows both the candidates and the audience to relax and move away from the scripted talking points and pat answers. So watch this video, please. And try to come on Tuesday. (We are concerned whether we will have a large enough audience).
