Re Wi-Fi in Public Parks and Buildings To: CSRD, Chief - TopicsExpress

Re Wi-Fi in Public Parks and Buildings To: CSRD, Chief Administrator, Directors and Planners We have sent you this letter in hard copy and also via email in order for you to be aware of concerns of many parents, and citizens of the Shuswap regarding the pressures by the telecom industry being put upon regional districts, cities and neighbourhoods to have WiFi throughout our public facilities and especially our parks. We, at Citizens for Safe Technology, and the many hundreds of people who subscribe to the daily updates that bring the latest BC, national and international news, research, including warnings about the proliferation of wireless and the tremendous impact on the health of our citizens, ask that you seriously look at both sides of this topic before accepting Industries offerings that do not take into consideration human, animal and plant health which is one of your mandates to protect. Unfortunately, the past City Council signed a contract, with Shaw Cable systems Limited with out first including public and non-Industry funded professional advice on the dangers of the ever increasing microwave pulsed electro magnetic radiation. Our letter to Mayor Nancy Cooper, Council and Administration, attached, is being sent to you for understandings that you need should you have a similar request from the Telecom Industry. Hopefully this information will broaden your knowledge and help you to avoid further endangering this district. We have invited 2 internationally recognized medical experts to address the City of Salmon Arm Mayor, Council, Planning and Chief Administrator and the public regarding evidence of health risks by Wi-Fi. This will take place during the latter part of January at a Public Meeting. We will be sending details concerning this to you and hope that many of you will be able to be in attendance at this critically important presentation. Thank you for your service. We wish you all the best for the holiday season and the coming year. Regards Barbara Robinson representing Shuswap Citizens for Safe Technology - csrd.bc.ca/
