Re-broadcasting... In defense - having graduated from a trade high school back in 73, things had been adjusted for those obviously not adjusted to a future arising from the benefits of higher education by means of College. Schools also presumed a certain degree of Parental responsibility to be sure. Looking back, I think the system also tried to adapt, since I do recall courses that explained taxes and what government budget, and votes, and voting in junior high, and classes about basic resumes, their construction and content and applying for college and such all in Junior High School.. Granted in a technical high school - my classes tended to be a bit more realistic given what did auto mechanics and printers need with college degrees back in 1973. But they where there, just like classes in higher match and sciences which I also ignored until I had no other choice - I imagine there are a few retired teachers out there saying all sorts of things like Told you so; even if in the case of mine - they are now laughing their collective asses off......
