Melting glaciers do not just increase sea level but increase water in atmosphere as vapour- 7% more water for each degree celsius rise in temp. This is beefing up large "atmospheric rivers" and along with changing precipitation patterns, greater instability, disruption of jet stream ->more intense and longer duration storms.
