Re: ice bucket challenge: Id like to start off by saying that the ice bucket challenge is super exciting. Im glad to see the challenge raise so much money for ALS! This is social media/viral videoing at its best. That being said, I have some other comments: To my CA friends: You all know there is a drought. Since most of us live in SoCal or NorCal, we dont really see it right in our backyards. But today as I drove down the 5, I was sort of jolted by what I saw. Never have I seen so much dead grass, rolling mile after mile. I also saw dead crops and hills/crops that were burned from fire. If you are going to participate in the ice bucket challenge, do what some of my friends have already done and PLEASE use pool water. Or ocean water, since its borderline freezing anyway. To everyone: Another reason to not use potable water is that there are millions that go without safe drinking water. Please dont waste water. Also, I hope you are all donating while you dump cold water on your head! :)
