Since 1987 I have been serving the wedding industry here in SW Florida. Leadership, I also have been among the Founding Members of the NAWP, back in the beginning when it was called The Southwest Florida Bridal Association with Sue Totterdale, one of the founders of the association. Tom is currently is the current Board Chairman of the National Association of Wedding Professionals (NAWP), Fort Myers Chapter and served as their Chapter President for 3 years, Chapter Vice President for 3 years, recruitment chairman for four years, and Membership Chairman for 3 years, also currently Board of Governors for 7 years. Accomplishments have been many including the largest “Membership Drives” ever and the most heavily attended Bridal Blasts, with the help of course of a great Ft. Myers Board of Directors and Bridal Chairperson we broke all records, during Toms presidency. A total of 13 consecutive years as a board member in the Ft. Myers Chapter. Tom is a NAWP Lifetime Member, member of the Ft. Myers and Naples chapter and currently running for National Regional Vice President (West Florida) for the National Board. Various Board experience, Tom is currently the president of the Cape Coral Fireman’s Association and lifetime member, and Tom sits on several other various boards in Lee County. Tom was a Wedding DJ for 18 years here in SW Florida, and known as “The Music Man, DJ Tommy C.” before going into the Video and photo business. Tom also worked as a Banquet Manager/ Event Coordinator at a large wedding venue in Lee County, occasionally running two weddings in one day. Toms experiences have allowed him to participate in thousands of weddings during the past 25 years. As we all know, there are wedding vendors that do their specialty behind the scenes and there are wedding vendors that are “In the Trenches” week in and week out, they are there live at the weddings, hands on always. Tom has always been a “Hands On Person” and has personally been involved in the planning stages as well as the “Day Of” wedding activities.
