Re: the post about the Hurt Locker white lady that Sandra Bullocks character was based off of that was posted the other day wherein she didnt want to judge a book by its cover and such, well, heres a throwback from a MadTV clip about 20 years ago that parodies that same conceit. Sad that this is still kind of accurate in terms of the sorts of stories the media tends to cover about noble color-blind white folks when discussing race relations. (Im looking at you, Fox News...) With respect to race relations these days, as the French playwright Pierre de Beaumarchais once said, Je me presse de rire de tout, de peur dêtre obligé den pleurer. Which in English very roughly translates to I laugh about it all, because otherwise, Id have to cry.
