Re the surprise £1.7 billion bill from the EU. This bit is not a surprise: Cameron has lied to us again. This charge has been in the pipeline for months, the British ONS were involved in the process and, despite what Cameron has said, there are no other countries who have refused to pay a similar levy. Once again, we see faux outrage from Cameron and mealy mouthed words about not paying by the deadline when, in fact, he will stump up the full amount when he thinks were not looking.
