Re-watching the most recent batman trilogy, I cant get over how great these movies are. It takes the ultimate badass in batman and bruce wayne, a billionaire superhero vigilante, whatever, and strips him down to the most bare, and utterly human circumstances. It shows him broken down, in fear, in hiding, in depression etc...but it makes the point that turning your fear into courage, and weaknesses into strengths can be done. Its not always about good vs evil, right vs wrong...sometimes it is making the difficult choices and sacrifices that makes someone a hero. Its not about who you are underneath, its what you do that defines you...I could go on and on but Chris Nolan is a genius and Ben Affleck has a hell of a role to fill.
