React On The Intent Not On The Method. One of my bright friend - TopicsExpress

React On The Intent Not On The Method. One of my bright friend described to me a very rational way of reacting to people and their behavioral aftermath. He simply used the formula of comprehensively analyzing out the final intent of any person he was dealing with. And the conclusion he made about the stunt he would pull to the person or how to react to particular conflict, interaction or situation and was based on the baselines or the artificial deliberations towards the end result....by doing this to me..or by saying what he said...what was he up to?.. he would thoughtfully ask..In most cases he was right. And this interpersonal intelligence saved him heartaches and vain expectations from people. He expected less from people. And if you acted too good to be true he put red-lines,and put a discreet spotlight on you, until he read your mind on the aims blueprints you had in mind.He always told me never trust anyone who always said yes,or acted abnormally friendly,or acted like he knew everything. For example. If he gave you his phone and you crash it by accident,he would forgive you[if you were a nice guy].But if you had earlier showed him even a stint of jealousy about the same phone,or you had a record of breaking peoples phone,he would ask you to pay.His probabilistic approach was so precise...and always came to his rescue. He had developed retaliatory mechanism to face life at an earlier age.He thought he had more challenges than the average kid [i still dont know how true was that]. Today,I dont know whether the test of time made him change the intent formula. But I carry his legacy, but mine is the milder version.I forgive easily. But I dont forget. So If you slap me hard on the face, and I realize you slapped me to divert the action of a suicide bomber to save the us all.I would hug you....,in this case, the method was the slap. The intention saving us all......so screw the method.
