Read 2 Chronicles 24:1-2,15-22 [ In todays reading, we learn that having someone in our lives to guide us toward faith & Christlikeness can b good & helpful. We read about this today, in the life of King Joash. But even better is getting to know the Lord ourselves & learning to rely on the Holy Spirit to b our guide (Gal.5:16). Joash had a great counselor who influenced him in the right direction, toward the ways of God, but yet the problem was that Joash didnt embrace an honorable life of his own. He turned & became evil in his life style once his mentor was gone. So many today r just like Joash!]
