AWHPC and our coalition partners are working toward these goals: (1) fairer allocation of resources for wild horses and burros in designated habitat areas; (2) humane, in-the-wild management of wild horses that maintains viable populations and free-roaming behaviors and eliminates the need for removals; (3) humane treatment of wild horses in all aspects of federal management programs, including during roundups and at holding facilities.
