Indeed, this 1950 novel makes a more absorbing read than many a modern-day detective fiction, where the tension and suspense are maintained from beginning to end through Christies remarkable story-telling skills, with lots of intriguing clues and plot-twists along the way that keeps the reader guessing. People these days tend to dismiss things that they considered old-fashioned.
