Read Malachi 3 in FULL CONTEXT. Dont just glance over the buzz words and just go by what your preacher says. The Bereans didnt & so I try to have the same mindset. Just because Paul said something to them they didnt take that as gospel truth right out the gate, they searched the scriptures and became convinced themselves. I have caused in my mind to not be persuaded by mans interpretation of the bible. I dont care if your MLK, Billy Graham and Paul the Apostle all rolled up into one! Tithing is not for new testament believers. God loves a cheerful giver, not one who gives because if not theyll feel theyre cursed with a curse. If you wanna give tithes thats fine, just dont look down on others or think your on some higher level with God because you do. Your no better if you do, no better if you dont. This is a neutral, to each his/her own issue. Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Just a general statement addressed. Its too widespread to be considered otherwise lol.
