Read a good portion of this book over the past few days. Allegedly, the story of the Bell Witch is true, & there are many books on it. I chose this one because its a personal account of what happened, as told from someone who lived through it. I find this book intriguing, so far. It starts out very scary, & then gets really interesting. (Im a little over halfway through it.) I have to admit, when I first started reading it, it was so scary, I was thinking every bump & pop I heard in the house just HAD to be a variation on the Bell Witch. (Then its cool, cause the witch gets progressively more intelligent as the story moves on (the witch becomes witty, & even entertaining. :-) The author has a very old fashioned way of writing (which at times, can make it somewhat hard to follow), but this does not prove to detract too greatly from being able to follow the story quite easily.
