Caffeine and energy drinks gave us just enough edge to get through many times, but it’s not healthy for one’s body to put so many of these substances into your system. One of our troops actually passed out during our operations briefing one night. It turned out that he was dehydrated and that he had put too many of these over-the-counter supplements (energy drinks and “diet pills”) into his body to keep him going. But all of us were going through this exhausting pace and trying to find methods to keep going through this stress. The stakes were just too high to let up.
