Read my Story! and Share! REMEMBER HOGAN’S HEROES? I AM Hogan! I am Hogan the Hero. Why? Because I am a survivor. And because—like Colonel Hogan in Stalag 13-- I am smart, crafty, ingenious, energetic, witty, surprising, and clever. No, I am not human nor a Colonel....but I AM an Australian cattle dog. I love to play, to work, to do agility, to please, to jump and spin, to retrieve a ball, and fly after a Frisbee. I am an Olympian Dog of the Doggy World: high energy/gold medal and intelligence/gold medal. I am fleet of foot. I am protective of my people. I am loyal as the day is long. I am buoyant as well as brave. I am an Australian Cattle Dog. I’m also known as a Blue and Red Heeler. Now a warning: I can be independent; I don’t want to be carried around in your cute little purse. I need structure and exercise, but other than that, I am known as a ‘wash and wear’ dog. Brush me, put me in your pickup truck, haul me around the ranch—or city park—and I’m happy as Larry (Brit Slang....although I do have a cousin named Larry: pure coincidence.) I’m the perfect age for adoption—one year—and I am eager to please. I’ve even been on Match looking for you. There’s a fella in Texas who is looking very promising, and a woman in Little Rock who has that “I love Aussies” look in her eyes. But Ahimsa Rescue is the best Match ever.
