Read the specs below, watch the trailer and submit to: drclanglois@gmail if youre interested!!From Dr. Carol: Seeking (3) Female Actors age 18-30 to portray 14-17 (all ethnicities-women color highly encouraged): STORY: Based on her book, Girl Talk: Boys, Bullies and Body Image that tells the stories of 10 teen girls from the San Francisco Bay Area and their struggles with self esteem. The book is based on teen girls - and for teen girls. Looking for young female actors performing excerpts from the book with the goal of helping other teens begin to better understand the tools they have to fight against poor self esteem or body hatred. ROLES: 1. Katie is dying to fit in. Literally. A bulimic freshman in high school, she’s drinking and hanging out with the mean girls. 2. Cindy is a high school junior who acts like everything is always fine. Playing three sports, getting straight A’s, partying on the weekends, but struggling with depression, perfectionism and addiction. The Teen Monologue Series will be performed at the Roxie Theatre in the Mission District of SF beginning September 28th (pilot performance) and then again in Oct and Nov of this year. Each performance will tell three girl’s stories in a “Vagina Monologue” style of setting. Approx. 3 rehearsals.No pay.
