***Reader Needs Advice*** NO BASHING!!! Sorry. Need to rant a little bit to get something off my chest...A few months ago me and my hubby hit a rough patch. We had drifted apart and the communication was gone between us. A close mutual friend of ours stepped in and made things so much worse. She took his side, blasted me, and told him he should leave. He told her no, weve been together too long just to walk away. We both fell out with her, started talking, and have rebuilt our relationship. Our marriage is stronger than ever. However, for whatever reason, I couldnt get over her betrayal. I messaged her a week ago and we talked things through. She seems very remorseful and is doing everything to rebuild our friendship. So here comes the rant, at the time he told her he was really unhappy and thats why she took his side, but now shes crying and playing the victim, saying she doesnt trust him anymore because if he was that unhappy he should have left. She even confronted him and made him feel awful. It hasnt caused issues for us as we are stronger now and talk about everything. My issue/rant really is that shes acting like shes the one wronged. I feel she brought it on herself, and seems to be completely disregarding the fact that I was the one betrayed. Grrrr. I feel better for getting my side across but now I wonder if this girl is really worth my effort. Or am I being too harsh? She says she thought she was helping and now feels bad for everything she said to me. Before anyone says it, no, he didnt cheat. It wasnt that sort of situation and he is a loyal man. He has proved that in the past with silly girls that have tried it, he has been cheated on before me and despises people who do cheat. Weve always had a very trusting and honest relationship. We drifted due to shift work changes and not getting time together. Weve fixed that now though. Just cant get her out of my head, Ive never had another woman treat me that way. Just feel like I need closure.
