Reader question: I need helpful rational advice. I have witnessed a nanny at the local playground abusing the children she watches. Today - the little boy (around 2) almost fell off the ladder about 8 feet up. He was caught by another mom, and when confronted the nanny told her to F off. Then she said that those were HER children, but I know theyre not. The question is, if I cant find the parents (and I hope I do) what should I do the next time I witness this? Before today - it was mostly her yelling obsenities at the children and pushing them. Can you call the police? but what would happen to the children? I mean, I want it to stop but I dont want to cause additional harm to the children or their parents who I am sure know nothing of the abuse. please help!
