Reading: GAL 6:12-13 (NIV) Those who want to impress people by means of the flesh are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ. Not even those who are circumcised keep the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your circumcision in the flesh. Message: Did you read your bible today? Did you say your morning prayers? Did you do your good deed for the week? Did you donate money to charity? Did you show kindness to that person you dislike? Well thats really good but it doesnt count. No matter how much of the law/religious practice you follow, thats not going to earn your salvation. Many of us get so caught up with religion and regulations that we forget about relationship. Salvation cannot be earned. No matter what your Pastor, Priest or Preacher says, your works will never be enough to earn your salvation. Your salvation is earned through accepting Jesus as your savior and having a relationship with Him. Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. He came to pay a debt he did not owe, because we owed a debt we could not pay.
