Reading Health System- Advancing health, transforming lives --> UNLESS youre an employee! I went to the doctor today. Feels like the flu, a.k.a. I feel REALLY LOUSY: wicked cough, fever, chills, headache, bodyaches, nauseous, diarrhea, you get the picture.......DR says I have Bronchitis and experiencing severe bronchospasms. He says I am still contagious and gave me a doctors excuse to miss the next two days off work, and he prescribes zithromax, prednisone, and an inhaler...... Heres the problem: I work on a cardiac-respiratory unit at RHS, so if I go in to work tonight I take the chance of infecting my respiratory-vulnerable patients or co-workers...... if I call off, it is held against me (only allowed 3 call-offs a year) even though I have a doctors excuse and am REALLY SICK!!..... WHAT DO I DO?
