Reading Sifted to Serve, Denis Lyles book on Peter. What a lamentable waste of life it would have been for Simon if he had spent his life dragging the Sea of Galilee for fish when he could have been making disciples in the world for the Saviour. This teaches us that all time outside the will of God is wasted time. It could be that you are under-employed and wasting your life on insignificant things if God has called you to greater things. Dont let your life lack eternal significance. If God is calling, you will need to lay aside the old nets of aimless living and assume a work that has eternal meaning. Through faith, forsaking and following Jesus Christ you too can find Gods purpose for your life.
