Reading a discussion about corruption on Newsday page made me realise Zimbabwe is far from coming out of the woods as far as corruption is concerned. Most of the populace have endorsed corruption & found excuses for it. Who will then fund the public goods if its every man for himself? A nation is heading for sure disaster if the people think using an ambulance as a taxi is not a big deal, when the fire brigade truck is used as a water bowser for the drivers private consumption. Its sad that much education never did anything good to these people, its just high literacy on paper while the principles were long forgotten. Whoever goes against corruption will find the mountain too steep to climb, no wonder men of integrity like Strive Masiyiwa, Mthuli Ncube, Nicholas Vingirai et al left this place, they rather do business remotely than be made corrupt under duress. If you catch a thief stealing and shout I suppose you will be the one to be necklaced to death & the thief goes free. What a sad thing Zimbabwe has become, sad.
