Reading a series of books about insanely muscular, tough, lethal men (theyre actually vampires but theyre the good guys and dont seem to have any of the traditional vampires bad points) who are part of a brotherhood who work for good by slaying evil. The heroine of each book is a tough, independent, brave woman who takes no crap but loves the guys for their strengths and points out their flaws to make them better men. She is respected for this by the guys brothers. In the vampire world women are revered, respected and protected. A woman cooking food for them is a great honour and it is a display of respect and affection to share this food with the woman. So in conclusion these books are written by a woman who has decided to create a species that have all of the attributes we want men to have... Bodybuilding, tall, beautiful lotharios, trained killers who only use their skills for good, that respect and adore worthy women (those that are intelligent, brave, take no shit and are capable), are grateful for small things from their women ie. meal preparation and SHARE their food! Ridiculously obvious in its impetus but as a form of escapism, pretty spot on...
