Reading all the negative comments on the article about our Die-in infuriated me, then I realized that this was how the college students felt in the 1960 Woolworth sit-ins, Malcolm X, Langston Hughes, Spike Lee, MLK, Ella Baker, Mary Mcleod Bethune, Shirly Chisholm, Angela Davis, Nelson Mandela and anyone else who fought and stood for equality and justice. The point was to bring awareness to police brutality. If police brutality was not an issue the SUPREME COURT would not have put into effect a law allowing citizens to sue law enforcement. It would not have been outlawed to shoot someone for fleeing if that wasnt an issue. The only probable cause these bad cops have is a skin color. Thats the threat, then they come up with other stories to justify abuse/murder.
