The Minnesota Reading Corps—the nation’s largest state AmeriCorps program—and its sister program Minnesota Math Corps are looking to place over 1,000 Literacy and Math Tutors, including in the Robbinsdale area. Tutors not only change the world of kids who are struggling in school, but they also experience professional and personal growth. Tutors help kids grow toward becoming successful readers by the end of third grade, or proficient in math by the end of eighth grade. As a tutor, you’ll receive training in research-based strategies, build your career network and receive an education award of $5,550 (for full-time) /$2,775 (for part-time) to further your own education.
