Reading comments on the LA Times article about the passing of Robin Williams, I suppose I shouldnt be shocked-- yet I am. The study of the brain has really only just begun. Brains are not alike. Its theorized that no two are exactly the same. With that being said-- why would anyone ever be so presumptuous as to think they know what demons haunt another? And someone said that weak people are the ones who commit suicide. Often times those who commit suicide have the greatest strength. To be so wildly different in a world that values sameness (except when sharing memes telling us to all be our different, true selves) shows incredible strength! How disgusting that anyone should call Robin Williams a jerk or a coward! One does not become the kind of actor he was without strength and humility. If you arent an artist and possess no artistic sensibilities-- please dont speak of what you can never know or understand. When you feel deeper than most, you are cut deeper than most. And you are sentenced to live lifetimes as opposed to just one. Living with your brain and heart in overdrive causes you to tire earlier than some. Dont tell me how my brain works and I wont build your bridges and attempt to fix your toilets. Life should be a cooperative exchange.
