Reading the Paleo Maifesto by John Durant makes me see how misguided people are about nutrition, because of national authorities misinformed by bad science. Fact 1. Fats do not make us fat. Fats are critical components in the structure of a cell, and fats provide us with efficient energy. * Also there is no correlation between high saturated fat diets and heart disease or cardiovascular disease as evidenced by a vast compilation of research. Fact 2.Consuming cholesterol does not make our cholesterol go up! Our body naturally produces and regulates cholesterol. And cholesterol is a precursor to hormones like testosterone and estrogen also it is also structurally similar to vitamin d * Low cholesterol (intake and serum) has been linked to high rates of cancer mental illness and suicide Fact 3. High Carbohydrate low fat diets which were recommended by the USDA in the 70s provide very little nutrients, and contribute to obesity type II diabetes Alzheimers and has been linked to various other health deterrents. Fact 4. Saturated fats are more stable than Unsatturated fats therefore therefore when they become a part of our body and a part of our cells they are less reactive to free radicals. * Culturally people in France consume a high amount of saturated fats and France has an extremely low rate of heart disease. * 40% of the fats in breast milk are saturated fats and 40 % of the fats in our body are saturated FACT 5. Industrial made foods (processed) such as twinkeys baby formula. Can not replace the nutrients provided by the complex biology of natural foods: breast milk, meat, vegetables, fruits, nuts. Fact 6 When mankind switched from a hunter gather diet to an agricultural based diet 10 20 ish thousand years ago. People became less healthy! They got smaller there teeth became diseased by bad bacteria eating those sugars. also an increased rate in a broad range of previously unheard of health problems happend. And the years when people only lived to be 25 the dark ages are whatever there was agriculture they werent hunter gathers . but they died because of a variety of lethal disease contemporary with the Neolithic revolution. -And people are afraid to talk about this because they think they will be discredit by traditional knowledge based off bas science- I feel like that is a disservice How often do we hear news about ourselves becoming more and more unhealthy while following traditional misinformed diet recommendations pshhhh
