Reading the explanation given by the Government about the $9.3M - TopicsExpress

Reading the explanation given by the Government about the $9.3M seized in South Africa, tears almost came, even an Imbecile should not give such explanations. In these days of online transfers and money laundering, those who took the money broke the law in both Coutries, its actually illegal to move such amounts into any Country regardless. Why has the Finance Minister and the Central Bank Governor too not shown us proof that the money is legal? They probably did not know such private jet transfer is now legal here. Defence and National Security Contracts are usually done at the highest diplomatic levels, why was it done with Briefcase Contractors if legit in the first place? Whoever will sell arms to that amount must declare the sale to the host Nation for the transaction meaning there was no need to hide the transaction from the SA government in the first place. This single breach of trust will further subject Nigerians to more humiliation at International border crossings because of this incident. I said it before, Welcome to Impunity. Even if legit, you cannot do legit business through illegal means, Thank God for diligence on the SA peoples part, our own officials probably were all like happy weekend sir when the suitcases were loaded on the plane. New light on the US Dollar scarcity at the moment and why the Naira has lost so much value with our Economy becoming the biggest in Africa.
