Reading this book makes me wanna sing the hymn, “How Great Thou - TopicsExpress

Reading this book makes me wanna sing the hymn, “How Great Thou Art!” By the word of God everything was created, and by His word, He sustains and governs the whole creation. Scientists call this the “natural laws” that govern the universe, and consider them impersonal; but Christians see them as personal, as they are the providential word of God. This book has helped me see the relation of science to God, even of mathematics and music. It’s so wonderful to see these disciplines in light of God’s Word and the creation mandate—to subdue the earth and have dominion over it. It’s so amazing how wonderfully the creation and everything we discover about them as well as the steps we take in these discoveries all reflect the beauty of God’s attributes. This book has also helped me in my desire to take a deeper study on Gen. 1 & 2—a desire born after I seriously considered the Framework Theory in creation. I now see its weaknesses and grasped the more plausible, Analogical Day Theory. This is, actually, the first time I have read a book like this. I got attracted with its title due to my fascination with Science in my younger years, esp. Biology and Chemistry (in fact, a frustrated MD); but not so with Physics. I even dreamed of getting to the National Science Quiz Bee, and was just a step away when I made it to the Regional level in Grade 6. I stumbled over only one question that I struggled a lot with as a Christian holding on to a Biblical worldview, the classification of living things into plant and animal kingdoms. I find it very Darwinian (common descent), and hence, anti-Christian.
