Reading through many, many years of life experiences captured in writing, feeling so grateful to have found my voice and my ability to express it. The power of reflection and connection is a beautiful thing...writing, journaling, spilling my guts onto paper, ranting, raving, poetry, letters to others, letters to self, morning pages...any kind of writing at all, sometimes one word to ponder, sometimes just a paragraph, other times pages upon pages. Writing is a powerful tool for helping to move through anything, anything. Whether Im writing my way through obstacles, writing about gratitude, grief, joy, pain, creativity, love, fears, doubts, hopes, dreams. My experience is that it helps, it unblocks and frees me, and a great deal of the time any negativity diminishes and the positivity expands. There have been many occasions over the years where I had no sense that it would make any difference and now I look back and see clearly how much it has helped to open me up to my own inner world and explore within, get comfortable in my own skin. Thats a wonderful feeling :-) my invitation to you do some writing, let go of any expectations and just allow yourself to capture thoughts, feelings, ideas, allow whatever wants to come out and onto the page to do so...you never know you just might like it?
