Reading through my news feed and I am sadden by the death of another innocent young person from gun violence. We need to do something (yes we ...me included) before this generation becomes extinct. It may not be at your doorstep today but look around; its getting closer. I mourn for the youth of today. They are being raised by music, video games and reality tv with no sense of direction. A month ago I had a heated discussion with my teen youth class as I was sharing with them how the things that they see and hear impact them. We have to reprogram our children! The messages of violence out way the occasional Sunday messages we are giving them. And its not just your children you have to look out for but all of our children not just the ones you gave birth to because our kids are in the world with everyone!! I know Im all over the place but Im frustrated and even more convinced that I have to push forward with my project. Time to get off the sidelines and on the front line!
