Reading through the book of Philippians. The Apostle has been jailed for giving testimony of the gospel. His desire, as Gods spiritual leader, is to see them, the church, grow in the knowledge of the Scriptures which will guide them into the will of God. The Apostles emphasis as well as the other writers always keep the perspective that Judgment Day is coming! For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ. And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; (Philippians 1:8-10 KJV)
