Reading unfinished and forgotten piece, Church Josies Sundays, that I worked on between Una Boricuasma and The Luminous Fist of the King. Unfinished perhaps because it was insane. I laugh out loud at Winthrop Park and am disturbed at what I write in secret. In this story I tell of Church Josies weekly agonies attending St. Marys of the Immaculate Conception on Maujer Street and Leonard Street (no longer operating) in the 1980s. His mother, Iri Casanova, radiates a silver halo when furious and is apparently skilled at martial arts, which she discharges on her husband and sometimes collaterally on Church Josie right in the middle of Mass.
