Real Conscientious Objectors seem to pay a price for their beliefs, and in so doing are heroes to mankind forever. I realize the photo of Jane Fonda will send out alarms but unlike her contemporaries Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Wolfowitz she actually got to Vietnam where expressed her opinions. She was not tucked safely away in the Texas Guard. As Obama said, I am not against all wars, just dumb wars. We seem to be in a hurry to get into wars that our leaders have not won since WWII. The US has been on the wrong side of history and there have been those who paid the price for saying so. Sadly, all too many paid the ultimate price and I think we as Americans need to do a better job of protecting our kids, and the children on our planet, from hypocrites in public office,and in the media. That is my message.
