Real Madrid got back down to business with a recovery session at Valdebebas just hours after clocking up their 18th win on the spin against Celta, a result through which Los Blancos matched Frank Rijkaards Spanish record run at the helm of Barcelona. The session was overshadowed by concerns over the fitness of James Rodríguez, who hurt his right calf against the visitors from Vigo. The Colombian was given the day off and will undergo scans on Monday to determine the extent of the injury. While the players that started against Celta did recovery drills, the rest of the squad worked more intensely and began to prepare for Tuesdays Champions League clash against Ludogorets, Real Madrids final group-stage fixture. Sami Khedira, however, was unable to train on the pitch and instead stayed behind in the gym. With top spot in the group and a place in the knockout stages already in the bag, Carlo Ancelotti is planning to tinker with his team selection against the Bulgarians. He has already confirmed that there will be run-outs for the likes of Javier Hernández, who barely featured in November but was able to get up to speed midweek in the Copa del Rey, and Jesé Rodríguez, for whom it will be a second bite at the cherry since his return from a serious knee problem. Luka Modric and James will definitely miss the game through injury, while Sergio Ramos is suspended. Isco will return to the fold, having sat out the Celta match because of a ban, but Khedira faces a race to be fit. Read more: Real Madrid: Khedira still not back in the fold - MARCA (English version)
