Real Talk: I refuse to apologize for being me in order to make others feel comfortable. I read a post by Michael Baisden, whom I highly respect. Michael stated what I feel. We dont want to admit that we have a race problem Well! We do! Deal with it! I remember when I was working at the Post Office. It was during the trial of O.J. Simpson.I, along with a number of people, was in the cafeteria when his verdict of Not guilty was announced on tv. The white people moaned and groaned while the black people cheered! I am reminded of all of the negative remarks made as to Getting our country back during the presidential campaign. From the time President Obama won the election until today I have heard all of the criticism and total disrespect waged towards him. Racial problems are alive and in operation throughout this country! Sad part is that we (as people)...myself included... get into our groups and discuss all of these issues as not to offend anyone. Ha! Now thats really sad! I have friends and acquaintance of various ethnic groups. But! Im true to my blackness! Like my European brothers and sisters, I love my people with the same passion that you love your people.Plain and simple. I am and I have always been a proud Black woman! By now you know the drill...This is MY truth. MY Facebook page. If you dont like my post...do yourself a favor and Unfriend me cuz Im gonna keep it real.#FeelingLiberatedNoMoShade
