Real life moment: lost it with my kids tonight. After taking them with me to worship band practice and spending the evening with them watching me sing and play my guitar for Jesus, I came home and lost my cool with them. That makes the score somewhere around: temper- 97,312, me-1 . Heres the good news: even though I constantly fail and have to ask both God and my kids for forgiveness, its really not about temper vs me. Its about ANYTHING vs God. And guess who wins that battle? Hands down, itll be God every time. So even though I keep messing up over and over again, Im covered by His grace, strengthened by His Spirit, and free to walk in His power. Maybe you blew it today, too, friend. If so, spend some time talking to God- confess it before Him, ask Him to help you face it again and to handle it more like Jesus, and then go to bed knowing this: He couldnt love you any more than He does right now, and your sin doesnt make Him love you any less. His mercies are new every morning and tomorrow is a fresh start.
