Really? How can you play both sides of the bleacher aisle - TopicsExpress

Really? How can you play both sides of the bleacher aisle LSHS? Out of one side of your mouth, you argue the manufacturers warranty will be compromised, so no extra seating will be permitted, while out of the other side, the mouth states after volleyball season, reaction from patrons will be considered....Im not very good with Aristotelian logic (smart-guy thinking, long time ago)--but I would call this a non-sequitur at best. I can elaborate: If your decision is based on warranty, how would public opinion change that? The public opinion does not matter now, but it will in the future? The safety of thousands of people is relative to public opinion? If people on Tuesday say so, the bleachers are safe, yet on Thursday people claim they are unsafe, how could the company provide even a one-week warranty? If this is true, why would the corporation purchase them in the first place? Bleachers or buildings or people should not be guided by public opinion. Perhaps their flimsiness or integrity should have been discovered at the signing of the contract. Perhaps I have stumbled across a truth: Many elected officials decide that truth is the opinion of their constituents-- instead of informing their constituents of the truth. I am sorry I havent the time for further refutation; these are a few passing thoughts.
