Really? I just read the Daily Oklahomans endorsement of Mary Fallin for a second term as governor. If the Oklahoman gets its way, the Oklahoma GOP may be as popular as the Kansas GOP is today. Extremist Governor Sam Brownback in Kansas, has so destroyed the states budget and is continuing his assault on public education. His radical performance has the Kansas GOP in full retreat and the party badly split. Brownback may win or he may lose on November 4, but his legacy has devastated his party for the future. Fallin, supported common core as the head of the National Governors Association, then threw it overboard when Janet Barresi became a big time political liability to Fallin. Teachers are leaving the state in droves because salaries arent competitive and the state pension systems are under assault, with Fallins blessing. Fallin blames her every failure on President Obama. She accuses the national government of trying to take over the education system, when she herself pushed common core while in office. If public education fails, that state will be in an even more urgent free fall than it is now. She signed a bill making it ILLEGAL for OKC or other cities or towns to vote to have a higher minimum wage than the national average. So much for her much vaunted love for local control. She never met a tax cut for the mega wealthy that she didnt like. I could go on at length. But, Mary Fallin has been a disaster as governor. She doesnt deserve re-election, she should be shown the exit before she has to opportunity to destroy good public policy that took over 100 years to put in place in Oklahoma.
