Really IMPORTANT for iPhone users - DO NOT UPDATE to iOS 8.0.2 and here is why - Today i was alerted to the pending update and agreed. On doing so my phone almost immediately froze locking me out of everything. Eventually it took me to a screen similar to that of your charging screen once your iPhone dies. It requested I plugged it into iTunes and refused to turn on otherwise. As soon as it was plugged in it told me I had no info on my phone as well as no iCloud back up. The new update which promised to fix bugs and crashes did the polar opposite and deleted everything I own. To some this may not seem as big an issue as I am making it to be but amongst those items lost were messages from my Daddy that I have saved for the past two years. Congratulations texts, birthday texts, Im proud of you texts, I love you texts - the whole lot. Not only that but I also had voicemails from him, I had a way to hear his voice and now it has been ripped from me but my overindulgent need to have the latest, best software at any stage it comes out. I really hope this makes you all think twice about updating as I wouldnt put this hurt on anyone! All the questions of fixing it you want to suggest I have tried, in tears, over the past 2 hours. I appreciate your help but Ive accepted they are gone. I hope no one else gets caught with this.
