Really? The world could use a few more Terry L. Sharkeys in my opinion. There are so many other unpleasant things that he could have chosen to bide his time with, and he only wants to be self sufficient and in the arms of Nature. Seriously? Perhaps even more awesome than his ambition is his willingness to explode known stereotypes. I find his ownership and open display of the rebel flag to be curious, and his pioneering spirit almost unheard of in regards to African Americans in backcountry circles. Mr. Sharkey is not the first African American that I have witnessed showing attachment to the rebel flag. In fact, Id almost argue that the whole brouhaha over the rebel flag is contrived and almost totally a media creation. Id love to meet this individual. I am certain that we have a lot in common! Ive already learned one thing from him: Never assume that you will not be spotted from the air. The lesson here is: build underground or locate a suitable cave! Mr. Sharkey has made my day! Ooo-Rah!
