Really despises the D.A.R.E. program, or more accurately the way it is implemented. There is nothing good about drug use (that includes pot), but the program goes about fighting it in the wrong way. It is certainly important to look at the dangers of drug use, and that kids understand that their actions have consequences. But instead of teaching critical thinking and independent thought in children, which would do a hell of a lot more to combat the peer pressure contributors to drug use, they simply teach kids to parrot anti-drug messages because everyone else is. That is why the kids who were by far the most vocal during the DARE classes tend to be the ones who grow up to be druggies.
